Construction Services

The CONSTRUCTION DEPARTMENT ensures the efficient operations of the Construction Company Limited in support of the mandate of the Trinidad and Tobago Housing Development Corporation. Accordingly, the Construction Department’s main duties and responsibilities are as follows:

Contract Management

• Enforcement of contract related matters on behalf of the client.

• Responding to all Contractor correspondence.

• Review and assessment of Contractor’s Claims.

• Preparation of Technical Reports for related Litigation matters.

• Issuance of Notices and Instructions to ensure Contract compliance.

• Management of Quality Assurance and Quality Control on Projects.

• Preparation of Employer’s Claims when and where applicable.

Project Management

• Monitoring of the Contractor’s Works with regards to time, cost and quality.

• Implementation of actions to address Contractor non-conformities.

• Preparation of Monthly Progress Reports for Parent Company.

• Assessment and processing of Contractor payments.

• Management of Project Close Out, including compilation of project Close Out documentation.

 Liaising with Statutory Bodies and other stakeholders to address potential issues.

• Document control and processing.

• Monitors and controls the tracking of contractor certificates, verifications of works completed, measurement of completed projects, monitoring of payment processes and quality control.

Site Supervision

• Manages construction sites and directs project personnel, contractors and consultants to ensure all requirements of quality, time schedules, cost control, health and safety are fulfilled.

• Preparation of daily and weekly reports, and other special reports as necessary.

• Supervision and inspection of the Works, in accordance with the Contract.

• Issue of notices and instructions to the Contractor to address discrepancies in the Works.

 

CORPORATION
